After winning an oddly titled competition, “Most Beautiful Italian Girl in Tunisia,” this Italian-Tunisian girl started earning her fame. A trip to Italy was the Grand prize in the competition. Claudia was troubled earlier in her career due to her poor Italian accent. For this reason, she progressed slowly. She spent her childhood in Tunisia, and her birth language was Sicilian. Moreover, her accent was more like French. But she continued working as an actor and model. She was needed to use dub in the earlier stage of her career.
Claudia Cardinale did not restrict herself only to acting. She was an outspoken activist and a woman rights supporter by heart. Now, at the age of 80, Claudia still works for equal rights. Cardinale was a goodwill ambassador of UNESCO in 2000.
