Barbara Parkins came to Los Angeles to become a great actress from Canada. Barbara started her journey as a backup dancer and singer for some famous night club stars at that time. She appeared on the screen for the first time in a B grade movie 20000 eyes in 1961. But that low budget movie was enough for her. Barbara then acted on the series adaptation of Valley of the Dolls. She won an Emmy Award for her performance on it.
